Los Angeles police officers fatally shot a rifle-wielding man who was barricaded in the home in Granada Hills, specialists said Tuesday.
The victim, a man in the 60s or 70s, was not determined, police said.
The initial call came in at about 11: 10 p. m. Monday. As officers tried to make contact with the particular suspect at the house in the 12700 block of Woodley Avenue, he opened fire. Officers shot back, killing him, according to LAPD Sgt. Jose Valle.
It remained unclear what prompted the standoff. No extra details were released early Tuesday.
