A suspected gunman was killed in an officer-involved shooting Friday night in North Hollywood, law enforcement said.
No officers were injured within the shooting, which happened around eight p. m. in the area of Burbank Boulevard and Riverton Avenue after officials responded to a report of a man using a gun, said Sgt. Ernie Fischer of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northern Hollywood Station.
Fischer described the believe as a male, aged 20-25, within the white t-shirt and blue pants.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the believe was holding a semi-automatic gun and turned toward the officials, who then opened fire on him.
The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced lifeless, Fischer said.
