Clearly no one wants to be upon Forbes’ “Top Earning Dead Superstar List. ” But for the groups of the departed souls, it can be a goldmine. This year, stars like Bob Marley and Elvis Presley raked in thousands, along with Tr3s fave Jenni Rivera.

Jenni is very new to the list, having just passed away last December. But in the particular 10 short months since she’s left us, La Diva de la Banda raked in a cool $7 million.

Forbes attributes her posthumous success to mostly album plus book sales. Rivera shipped more than 880, 000 records in 2013 and topped the libro charts with her Unbreakable biography.

But Jenni pales in comparison to the #1 contender. Michael Jackson continues to be a financial powerhouse, earning over $160 million inside the past year.
